I am thrilled to have my block in the latest issue of "100 Blocks". It's on page 8, the first block in the magazine. Ha, ha! I am number 1! How cool is that? Here's the picture of my block.
I'll be giving away a pattern of mine (viewer's choice) to one lucky person leaving a comment. You can see all my patterns on our website: www.fabricaddict.net and keep up to date with new patterns as they are released on my facebook page: www.facebook.com/www.fabricaddict.net
Yo-yos rule! I also like Dresden type blocks. This is my first time making skinnier spokes in a Dreseden and having space between. This block remindied me of the Bachelor Buttons that grew wild around our house when I was a kid. My favorite color is blue, but not just any blue. It has to be a bright blue. Love the brights. I had fun playing with these fabrics (Topsy Turvy by Northcott).
I've also attached a picture of our two new rescue kittens. They match the block and are wild and crazy, just like the fabric!
Thanks for visiting, and especially for commenting. Quilting is the best addiction one can have.

100 Blocks
Yay! I have another block published in the Super Great magazine 100 Blocks, Volume 14. It is on sale now. It's the most fun magazine. 100 original blocks and all the directions to make each block are included. If you want a copy and can't find one locally, send me an email and we can arrange delivery of the magazine to you. karen@fabricaddict.net Here is my block that is published in this volume. They named it "Blossom Burst". Page 8, the first block in the magazine. This is the EQ image, the "real" block has yo-yos around the outside (the green circles) and a yellow yo-yo in the center. I don't know where I saved my photo of the actual block. The actual block and instructions are included in 100 Blocks. So excited! Happy Dance! I'd love to have everyone on my Facebook page. Quilters have taken over Facebook! www.facebook.com/www.fabricaddict.net
Cheers! Karen Bialik, The Fabric Addict. It's only an addiction if you admit it!

We had a family get together today. Instead of eating too much, I brought along a quilt to bind. This big Queen (88" x 98") is being held by my tall husband and my tall nephew. The pattern is "Nine Patch Tumbler". Have two kits available. The batik feature fabric has butterflies. Very pretty, I think.

My first post
Here's my blog. It's open to anyone. Mostly I will be blogging about my quilty pleasures.
I am a designer of quilt patterns. I design mostly for Northcott fabrics (www.northcott.net) and also have been published in a couple of magazines. We sell my patterns and kits made from my patterns through our website www.fabricaddict.net . We also sell wholesale to shops around the world.
All of our patterns are available in pdf to download, or as hard copy to be mailed out.
My favourite pattern is called "Sunburst" The pattern retails for just $4.98:
